Sportswear Transfers for Activewear, Teamwear and Jerseys

Sportswear is a different decoration problem from fashion: polyester blends, two-way stretch and heavy sweat next to skin. A transfer that looks great on a cotton tee can crack on the first sprint or trap heat across a runner's shoulder blade. Our high-elongation TPU plus silicone systems and six-line sublimation capacity are tuned for this exact problem.

  • 5M+/day peak production capacity
  • 3,000+ apparel brands served
  • OEKO-TEX ยท ISO 9001 audited certifications
  • 28 yrs in printing export

Most-requested sportswear scenarios

Stretch performance jersey with silicone heat transfer brand mark

High-stretch performance jerseys

Challenge

Performance jerseys must stretch in two directions without the print cracking, peeling, or distorting the brand mark. Athletes do not see ink, they see the failure. A brittle logo on a sleeve seam ends a contract.

Approach

We pair a high-elongation TPU adhesive with a silicone top layer pressed at 150 to 180 degrees Celsius for 4 to 10 seconds at 0.2 to 0.6 kg per cm2. The adhesive flexes with the fabric, the silicone keeps the surface soft and matte.

Result

Stretch tested in both directions across our high-stretch wash and recovery QC; passes 50+ home wash cycles per ISO 6330 without crack or lift. In service with EU football and teamwear brands.

Compression base layer with low-profile silicone transfer

Moisture-wicking compression base layers

Challenge

Compression fabrics sit against skin. Any transfer with a hard edge causes chafing within minutes. Brands also need the print invisible from inside to avoid hot spots.

Approach

Ultra-thin silicone transfers applied at low temperature, 110 to 140 degrees Celsius for 4 to 10 seconds, so the polyester-spandex blend does not glaze. The adhesive cures into the knit so there is no raised shoulder on the print edge.

Result

Verified chafe-free in client wear trials. Passes 50+ home wash cycles per ISO 6330 in our in-house QC. Hand feel rated competitively against the top performance brands by client wear panels.

Reflective heat transfer logo on running jacket

Reflective safety running gear

Challenge

Reflective marks on running jackets and vests must hit visibility standards for night safety, survive sweat and rain, and stretch with the fabric at the shoulder and waistband.

Approach

Glass-bead reflective film laminated to a stretch adhesive. Pressed at 150 to 180 degrees Celsius for 5 to 10 seconds so the bead layer is not crushed.

Result

Meets EN ISO 20471 reflectivity threshold on tested batches. Passes 50+ home wash cycles per ISO 6330 in our in-house QC with no significant drop in retroreflective performance. In service with EU running and high-vis sportswear brands.

Sublimated team jersey with player name and number

Heavy-use sublimated team uniforms

Challenge

Team uniforms get worn twice a week for a full season, washed at industrial temperature, and tackled, dragged, and slid in. Numbers and player names cannot fade or migrate.

Approach

Dye sublimation prints bonded into the polyester fiber rather than sitting on top of it. Zero hand feel, color penetrates the yarn. We control sublimation temperature at 185 to 200 degrees Celsius, dwell 40 to 60 seconds and pressure 4 to 6 kg per cm2 to prevent dye migration on adjacent panels.

Result

Passes 50+ home wash cycles per ISO 6330 with no measurable color shift in our in-house QC. Used by North American collegiate teamwear programs and EU football kit brands.

How a sportswear project runs with us

  1. Inquiry and quote

Send your spec sheet (artwork, size, quantity, target unit price). We reply within 24 hours with a written quote and a yes or no on technical fit.

  2. Sampling

We print on your actual fabric so you can wash-test and hand-feel test before approving. Sample usually ships in 4 to 6 working days; revisions during the same project are free.

  3. Production and QC

Bulk production typically takes 7 to 10 working days (rush available on request). 100 percent visual inspection plus random batch wash tests against the approved sample.

  4. Shipping

Air, sea or express, your call. Commercial invoice and packing list provided ahead of shipment so customs can pre-clear.

Fabric and garment considerations

  • White or light polyester: jerseys, singlets, cycling kit

Sublimation is the default. Lightest, most breathable and most cost effective at volume. DTF works too but adds a thin film that you can feel against skin.

  • Dark polyester: training tops, dark jerseys

Sublimation does not render on dark fabric. Use stretch DTF for full-color art or silicone for raised single-color logos.

  • Polyester-elastane: leggings, sports bras, compression

Stretch grade only. Stretch DTF and high-stretch silicone both recover through full range of motion. Standard transfers will crack on the first hard stretch.

  • Performance shells: windbreakers, light jackets, running vests

DTF and reflective bond cleanly to nylon and ripstop. Keep placement away from coated zones (DWR finish) which can prevent full adhesion. We test the specific shell at sampling.

  • Swimwear and water sports fabric

High-stretch silicone is chlorine and salt-water resistant and survives pool and ocean exposure without delamination. Avoid DTF on swimwear as the film will eventually lift.

  • Mesh panels: ventilation zones on jerseys

Do not place transfers directly on mesh, the open weave will not give a continuous bond and the print will read patchy. Move the placement onto the solid panel adjacent to the mesh.
